Roofs on the same street can have different histories. One has been replaced, another repaired, and a third still has its first covering. Sun, roof shape and storm damage change how each one wears.
Our roofers check the material you have now. A sound field with a split boot is a repair conversation. Widespread brittle shingles are a reason to price replacement.
The City started planning the Wedington corridor in 2012 after substantial residential growth on both sides of the road. Those subdivisions are established now, and the original development period does not tell us when any particular roof was last replaced.
If yours still has its first covering, its age helps frame the inspection. If it was replaced later, that work has its own materials and warranty records. Either way, present condition carries the decision.
Wedington Corridor
The City’s corridor plan page describes development at the time of the planning work. It is not a current roof inventory.

On an asphalt-shingle roof, a small failed part can be responsible for a much larger stain inside.
Lifted or creased tabs let wind-driven rain reach beneath the covering. The surrounding shingles need to be sound enough to tie a repair into.
Cracked cap shingles and damaged vent details interrupt the top of the roof. A roofer checks attachment and the way the covering meets each opening.
Water funnels through valleys and along wall joints. Failed connections here can leak while the open field still looks good.
Wood damage can extend beneath the visible opening. Its full extent sometimes appears only when the covering comes off.
Out this way
Access off Wedington and its connecting streets belongs in the work plan, especially for a tear-off with a delivery truck and disposal container. Our service-area overview covers the other Fayetteville areas.

You need the product and installation records to know. Material warranties can change over time, include prorating and have transfer conditions; workmanship terms vary by contractor. Age alone does not prove that either coverage has expired. The warranty guide explains what to look for.
An invoice, permit record or documents from a sale can help establish when the covering was installed. Wear alone cannot reliably date a roof within a few years. If the history is missing, the inspection can still assess its present condition.
A brittle, weathered shingle can respond differently to an impact than flexible new material. That does not establish which roof was damaged in a particular storm. A hail inspection checks the actual covering.
That depends on the condition, not a calendar promise. A roof that is dry and sound may need monitoring; an active leak needs attention before damage spreads. A free inspection helps you decide whether to repair now or plan for replacement.
